No two 3D artists are alike. Everyone has a different focus and passion in regards to a particular aspect of 3 Dimensional artwork.
3D artists also come from a large array of experiences, from self taught to formal training.
As such 3D artists have developed an affinity for a particular tool set in order to progress in their craft.
So let's talk about it.

Topics of Discussion:

Are you self taught or formally trained?
Are you freelance or do you work in-house?
Are you just beginner or are you a full time professional artists?
What aspect of 3D do you focus most of your time on, and why?
What programs do you use?
What is your Computer set-up?
And most importantly, what attracted you to the 3 Dimensional Art Field?
What makes you like 3D as much as you do?

Are you self taught or formally trained?
Took a traditional drawing/art class in high school, but otherwise, all self-taught.

Are you freelance or do you work in-house?
Freelance, though mostly I create for me, for the fun of it.

Are you just beginner or are you a full time professional artists?
I've been drawing since I was little, and composing 3D scenes since '06. I wouldn't call myself a beginner, but I'm not a professional, either. I'd be content to say I'm somewhere in the middle.

What aspect of 3D do you focus most of your time on, and why?
Composition of scenes. I love seeing what my muse can come up with in putting together scenes.

What programs do you use?
Poser Pro 2012, Paint Shop Pro X4

What is your Computer set-up?
Sony laptop - 16.4" Intel i7, 8gb ram, quad core, 500gb hd, Windows 7 64-bit

And most importantly, what attracted you to the 3 Dimensional Art Field?
The Pixar movies that came out...and when I saw the making of the movie/cartoon Titan AE. It's a mix of traditional drawing with 3D technology...and watching how the characters were created using a 3D program was what really got me interested.

What makes you like 3D as much as you do?
I love creating in a 3D setting instead of flat on paper. I have the ability to turn my camera angles even after I finish a scene, unlike with drawing. I love getting different looks from different lighting and camera angles. I love manipulating the models to get different looks.
